HSF Virtual Workshop Series: Public Speaking: Session 1 of 2- Speaking for Large Crowds

This Workshop Series takes place over two session.

Session 1: February 8th will focus on Public Speaking for Large Groups.

Session 2: February 22nd will focus on Public Speaking for Small Groups.

 

About the Presenter:

Cathy McNally has nearly twenty years of experience as a speaker, trainer, and coach showing Fortune 500 firms, entrepeurs, advocates, activists, and professionals how to present, speak and write more effectively. She has also been a communications lecturer at Boston University Questrom School of Management. With a background in stand up comedy and comedy improv her programs are a blast: interactive, playful and effective.

2022 HSF Legislative Reception

 

Same annual event with a twist, ZOOM BREAKOUT ROOMS.
 All registrants will be assigned to a breakout room
with one of their legislators.

Due to the virtual format of this event, all registrants are required to provide an email address when registering.  All registrants will receive a zoom registration link 2 weeks before the event to the email address provided. In order to maintain a safe and secure virtual environment, each individual registrant must fill out a zoom registration to receive an individual, unique log in link.

For staff, board, constituents/clients, family members, and volunteers of member agencies of the Human Service Forum, Hampshire Council of Social Agencies (COSA) & Franklin County Resource Network (FCRN).

  • This unique event allows you to share a table, zoom style, with one of the western Massachusetts Representatives or Senators and speak directly with them on topics that are important to you.

About the Presenter:

Sarah Carlan, MSW., has over 15 years working as a therapist and group facilitator. Before starting their own practice she has worked as a school counselor and a Child and Family Therapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings. As well as having a MSW from Smith College School for Social Work, Sarah also has a BA in Neuroscience and Animal Behavior from Mount Holyoke College. She has facilitated support groups, team trainings, and retreats for school, hospitals, and nonprofits, coaching a diverse range of clients including  executives, educators, medical providers, and equestrians.

Meaghan Murphy is an Associate in the Springfield office and is licensed in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. She brings six years of general litigation and Labor & Employment experience to Skoler Abbott. Meaghan regularly advises clients on various workplace issues, including discipline and performance issues, policy development and implementation, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. She looks to guide her clients toward reasonable, common sense solutions to workplace conflicts. Meaghan has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO), and other forums.
