HSF is thrilled to welcome MA Secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Marylou Sudders, to our March Breakfast. The Secretary will be joining us LIVE to discuss all the current topics affecting Health and Human Services.
![]() Marylou Sudders serves as the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Since joining Governor Baker’s cabinet in January 2015, Sudders has advanced strategic policy priorities, including: restructuring MassHealth into a population-based health coverage system, reforming the child welfare system, addressing the opioid epidemic, integrating physical and behavioral health care, and strengthening community-based services. d Human Services for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, overseeing 12 agencies and MassHealth, with a combined budget of $24 billion and 22,000 public employees delivering essential services that touch the lives of 1 in 4 state residents.

Gilberto Amador was born in Leominster Massachusetts and has lived most of his life in Western Massachusetts. He received his master’s degree in Education from Cambridge College, Massachusetts in 2003 and completed his Ed.S. at Nova Southeastern. Mr. Amador has been working in a wide range of work environments that are fast paced helping students, families and others at different levels and stages of their lives. His knowledge in human behavior, conflict resolution, and effective communication allows him to easily adapt and interact with diverse groups of individuals. He has a passion for working with people and has worked with individuals, communities and families as a mentor, motivational speaker, community organizer, community leader and educator. Mr. Amador’s aspiration to be continue to be a servant leader through United Hispanic Nurses of America LLC and Amador Foundation Inc. to name two of his companies. Mr. Amador is also the President/CEO of his own consultant and training institute called Emerging Multicultural Network Training Institute, L.L.C.
Meaghan Murphy: Meaghan is an Associate in the Springfield office and is licensed in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. She brings six years of general litigation and Labor & Employment experience to Skoler Abbott. Meaghan regularly advises clients on various workplace issues, including discipline and performance issues, policy development and implementation, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. She looks to guide her clients toward reasonable, common sense solutions to workplace conflicts. Meaghan has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO), and other forums. Meaghan has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star since 2018.
