Young People & Suicide: A Workshop for Family & Friends

March 14th & 15th from 10am to 2pm
Youth suicide rates have been increasing every year since 2007, but few people know how to offer support without jumping to 911 and crisis calls that sometimes cause more harm than help. This two-part workshop will explore the relationship between suicidal thoughts and being young in today’s world. It will offer opportunities to explore and practice tools for conversations that can support people to move through these thoughts and feelings, and how to sit with one’s own discomfort while doing so.
This workshop is being co-sponsored by the Wild Ivy Social Justice Network and the broader Wildflower Alliance. It will be co-facilitated by Micah Matthias (Wild Ivy’s LGBTQ+ and Youth Community Connector) and Cindy Hadge (a Lead Trainer with the Wildflower Alliance).
Tickets are free, but donations are welcome!
