In this interactive workshop the IA team will walk you through a premortem exercise giving you and your peers the tools needed to plan for the future and help your organization address the rapid, ever-changing challenges of this time. What is a premortem? A premortem is your time to be a cynic. It’s time to tap into all the negative feelings you might be harboring about projects and programs you are running within your organization. It’s a time for you to imagine everything that could go wrong in the wake of COVID-19. The goal: figure out how to identify and prevent those problems while you still have time to act; all with the intention of helping your organization survive and succeed well into the future.
This training is a part of the NXT Gen Institute for Emerging Leaders and is open for individual registrations.
Heather brings decades of experience helping people improve existing processes and build new things. After working in both the corporate world and public higher education, she is thrilled to return to her roots working with small businesses and startup organizations. Adventures during the first half of her career have included: coordinating a successful $375M+ fundraising campaign for a top-25 public university and improving their principal gift process leading to a doubling of principal gifts over four years. Serving as board president for a pre-k to grade-6 Montessori school and beginning their due diligence process for a major school expansion. And, working as an intrapreneur in a variety of organizations, including the world’s largest chocolate company, a new brokerage network within an old mutual insurance company, and a large performing arts road-house. She thrives on working with amazing teams, constantly learning, and building bridges with humans.
Kelly brings experience from the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. She has worked as a marketing associate in the corporate world, launched two startups and has worked in nonprofit advancement.
