EMPTY BOWLS 2021 COVID EDITION

It is hard to believe we’re at the one year mark of dealing with COVID and all its implications. We were scheduled to host our annual Empty Bowls Dinner last year, right as COVID hit. We never thought we’d be in the same position this year, but here we are. Empty Bowls is truly one of those events that is at the heart of our community. We love that so many of you look forward to it each year. We cannot wait to be together in person in 2022!

So, we are moving forward with the EMPTY BOWLS 2021: COVID EDITION.  No bowls. No soup. Just an appeal for help in filling the bowls of our neighbors in need of food. In a year when we cannot share a meal in person, we can still come together, virtually, to make sure there are no empty bowls in our community. You can help make that happen!

In past years, the event raised more than $37,000 from ticket sales, local business support, raffle proceeds, and donations made at the event in the form of celebrity waiter tips. Our goal for this year is to raise $15,000 to help sustain our dramatically expanded food and nutrition programs, making sure everyone in our community has the food they need.
