Culture has a significant influence on one’s values, perceptions, expectations, and experiences. Through instruction, discussion, and self-assessment, this 2-day workshop will introduce attendees to the framework of cultural responsiveness. This program will provide new supervisors with the knowledge and tools needed to create an environment of inclusion where individual differences are respected, and all feel welcome.

Program outcomes include:

  • Enhanced knowledge of Cultural Responsiveness
  • Enhanced management and leadership skills
  • Strengthened social and emotional intelligences and critical and innovative thinking
  • Improved communication skills/communication barriers
  • Encouragement of positive behavior and choices

*This program is a part of the Winter 2022 Supervisory Series and is open for individual registrations.

*This training will be presented over two, 3.5 hour sessions

  

About the presenter

 
Gilberto Amador was born in Leominster Massachusetts and has lived most of his life in Western Massachusetts. He received his master’s degree in Education from Cambridge College, Massachusetts in 2003 and completed his Ed.S. at Nova Southeastern. Mr. Amador has been working in a wide range of work environments that are fast paced helping students, families and others at different levels and stages of their lives. His knowledge in human behavior, conflict resolution, and effective communication allows him to easily adapt and interact with diverse groups of individuals. He has a passion for working with people and has worked with individuals, communities and families as a mentor, motivational speaker, community organizer, community leader and educator. Mr. Amador’s aspiration to be continue to be a servant leader through United Hispanic Nurses of America LLC and Amador Foundation Inc. to name two of his companies. Mr. Amador is also the President/CEO of his own consultant and training institute called Emerging Multicultural Network Training Institute, L.L.C.
