As we continue to face the challenges of the pandemic, being able to understand children and teens with ADHD and create effective interventions based on recent research and sound clinical judgment is more important than ever. In this workshop, Saline explores how listening to and working with the kids diagnosed with ADHD in a collaborative way improves cooperation and success. She presents the unheard voices of children and teens with ADHD as an effective way to assist parents and professionals in thinking differently about the challenges these individuals face and effective interventions to help them. Based on her unique, strength-based approach–’the 5C’s of ADHD parenting,’ Saline shares a variety of helpful and practical solutions to teach kids essential daily living skills that reduce stress and increase positivity. Her collaborative approach integrates mindfulness, cognitive therapy and positive psychology while teaching effective skills to reduce the stress in families’ lives. This workshop will be both didactic and experiential in nature.
